Moneycorp hosts Walpole’s Brands of Tomorrow

2 minute readLast week we had the pleasure of hosting this year’s emerging luxury brands from Walpole’s Brands of Tomorrow for a series of talks on Finance and Investment as part of our programme sponsorship.
The session was part of the Brand's of Tomorrow’s wider mentoring and masterclasses series and aimed to develop and nurture the brands on their journeys to becoming leaders in their respective fields.
Speaking at the event were several industry experts delivering diverse perspectives on finance and investment and giving members a well-rounded understanding of how to apply it to their brand.
Representatives from luxury shoe brand Manolo Blanhnik shared their experience from a luxury brand perspective in Finance 101, and the law firm and fellow sponsor, Mischon de Reya, delivered Financing for the Future and Now. Members also heard from brand-building experts Redrice and consumer brand finance expert, Runviable, who gave their insight into navigating the venture capitalist market and finance for e-commerce brands, respectively.
Moneycorp’s Leon Joseph was joined by Brands of Tomorrow alumni Sabrina Saddiq, the owner and founder of Luxury Promise, the leading global destination for preowned luxury handbags and accessories, for a conversation about her experiences. Sabrina talked about her journey with her brand and her involvement in the Brands of Tomorrow programme, and how trading internationally affected her business.
Leon closed the session with a foreign exchange masterclass, giving the group an overview of why having an international payments strategy is so important, its potential impact on businesses receiving foreign currencies, and the tools and products needed to manage volatility and risk effectively.
