  1. With an explorer card, you will be able to load up to 10 different currencies onto one card. This makes managing your money whilst abroad even easier, as you will have all your currencies in one place. We also don’t charge fees for ATM withdrawals and card payments made abroad with your explorer card.
  2. Track an exchange rate with your online account and even set a rate so we can notify you when the rate is at the level you want it to be. Secure the rate you are after by tracking the pound to euro rate with your moneycorp account.
  3. Weekly, monthly, quarterly and other regular payments can be set up and managed using your account. This allows you to make a regular bank transfer to Spain for your expenses or other ongoing costs you may have. Information you’ll need for a bank transfer to Spain

In order to make an overseas payment to a Spanish bank account, you’ll need to obtain the IBAN (International Bank Account Number) and BIC / SWIFT code of your intended recipient. Their bank will have their own BIC / SWIFT code, allowing your bank/foreign exchange provider to identify the branch. Inputting the IBAN when making the payment will inform your bank of the specific account to send funds to.

For more information on these banking details, read our guides on IBAN and BIC / SWIFT codes.

What does a Spanish IBAN look like?

Every bank account holder in Spain will have an IBAN, which you will need to make your cross-border payment. A Spanish IBAN is 24 characters long (example below), beginning with an ISO Country Code and continuing with two IBAN check digits and a Basic Bank Account Number (BBAN). The BBAN will itself consist of a Bank Identifier code, a Branch Identifier code, BBAN check digits and an Account Number. By providing the correct IBAN, your bank will be able to identify the correct account for making your international transfer to Spain.

Example of a Spanish IBAN:

ES91 0123 4567 8901 2345 6789
