It’s that time of year when we’re all back to work, still poor from the winter festivities and we need something to look forward to – a holiday. Deciding that you want a holiday is easy; choosing where you want to actually go is the hard part. With so many beautiful countries and places to choose from we really are spoilt for choice. We’ve done some research for you and found five places in Europe that we think you’ll love.
If the beauty isn’t enough then we’re sure that you’ll love all it has to offer. With picturesque views everywhere you go and a mixture of beaches and ancient landscape, this location has everything you need in a holiday. There’s plenty of culture and sightseeing for you to enjoy but you’ll also be able to spend time sipping wine in the bars and restaurants - while topping up your tan of course.
If it’s a holiday in the sun that you’re looking for then Malta could be the place for you. It has around 300 days of sun per year so you’ve got plenty of time to get that suntan whenever you decide to go. The other aspect that we love about Malta is that it’s got a 700 year history, so if you want to be able to sunbathe and explore while on your holiday then you’ll love the culture and history that surrounds Malta – be sure to check out the temples, Roman catacombs and medieval towns.
In Croatia you’ll find sun, sea and festivals. Take some time to visit Dubrovnik; you’ll be amazed by the beauty of the old town and there’s no doubt that you’ll want to visit again. In Croatia you’ll also find national parks, islands and the set of King’s Landing in hit TV show, Game of Thrones – what more could you want?
This year Milan is holding Expo 2015 from May to October so it will be covered in fairs, food stalls and entertainment - it’s definitely not to be missed. If you’re travelling to Milan before or after Expo 2015 then don’t worry because there is still plenty for you to do and see. Aside from taking pictures of the exquisite scenery that Milan is known for, there are also restaurants, shops and sights for you to enjoy and of course the famous Duomo di Milano (the Milan Cathedral).
Switzerland has got everything; it’s beautiful to look at, there are plenty of things to do and it’s a real adventure. You’ll love the famous tourist attractions such as the Swiss Alps, The Matterhorn and the waterfalls, but take the time to really get to know Switzerland. There are some unique towns in the cities and you’ll find something different in each.
What we love most about the places that we’ve listed above is that they all offer something different - there’s adventure, relaxation and fun in each place. Where will you be visiting this year? Let us know your holiday plans on Facebook and Twitter.
