Now that the festive period is over and it’s back to work for everyone, it can seem as though the holidays are a long way off. That doesn’t mean it isn’t the perfect time to start thinking about your next trip though. You might even secure a cheaper holiday for booking early. So whether you’re daydreaming about whiling away the hours on a beach or planning a round-the-world travelling trip, take a look at the hottest holiday destinations for 2015 and get your next trip sorted.

  1. Brazil
Thanks to Brazil playing host to the FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympics, this fantastic country is set to become popular among holidaymakers over the next few years. And with its brand new airport terminals, improved rail connections and new roads, getting around is a doddle. Head over to the Amazon Rainforest to discover the indigenous wildlife species and plants. If you want a relaxing holiday, check out Rio’s famous Copacabana Beach or for seclusion and privacy, take a dip in the waters of Gruta do Lago Azul (Blue Lake Cave).
  2. Tatra Mountains, Slovakia
Whether you’re a keen skier or you’re new to the sport, Tatra Mountains offer the perfect base for your skiing trip. Wizz Air has launched direct flights from Luton to Poprad-Tatry (which run four times per week), making the resort more accessible than ever. Skiers of all abilities are welcome in the resort of Jasná. If you’re interested, the World Snowboard Tour and the Freeride World Tour will also be heading to the Tatras this year.
  3. Essarouira, Morocco
For years, Essarouira has been difficult to access from the UK, with holidaymakers needing to travel to Agadir or Marrakech before making a two-and-a-half hour trip via taxi to Essarouira. From May this year however, EasyJet will be offering direct flights from Luton, allowing you to sample the stunning views, immense beaches and easy going souks at your leisure.
  4. Leipzig, Germany
This year marks the 1000th anniversary of the city’s founding, so if you love a celebration, Leipzig is the place to be. With events running throughout the year, Leipzig is set to be bustling in 2015. From 31 May the city will play host to a seven day festival packed with music and street theatre. Bachfest will be held from 12 – 21 June, and the Gewandhaus Orchestra will play at open air concerts on 10 and 11 July.
  5. Cáceres, Spain
Food lovers will want to be heading to the Spanish city of Cáceres this year as it has been awarded the title of 2015 Capital of Gastronomy. Sample local specialities including bread soup seasoned with paprika, rabbit and rice, jamón ibérico, and torta del casar.

Don’t forget your spending money!
Avoid costly ATM fees and get your travel money sorted before you go on holiday. The moneycorp Prepaid Explorer Card keeps your currency safe all on one card. You can load funds online, via SMS or at any moneycorp bureau de change – and even load multiple currencies onto your card at once, which is handy if you’re travelling to a few different locations.
