New Edinburgh foreign exchange service
The international foreign exchange company moneycorp is opening its first office in Scotland, in Edinburgh. As a result, Scottish businesses will be able to take advantage of an experienced, locally based new foreign exchange service.
Edinburgh is the UK's second largest financial services centre, making it a natural home for moneycorp.
It means Scottish businesses will be able to access moneycorp’s personalised specialist foreign exchange and international payment support, hitherto primarily depended on by London based companies.
Lee McDarby, Corporate IP Managing Director at moneycorp said:
“This is a very exciting development for moneycorp and its clients, as we bring our specialist expertise to the city of Edinburgh for businesses across Scotland. We’re planning for growth and are already recruiting for talented people who are keen for a career in the personal delivery of money transfer services for businesses.”
The moneycorp team in Edinburgh will be led by Niall Handy who has been appointed as Head of Sales for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Niall, who was previously at Barclays, has over 17 years of Corporate and Investment banking experience. The office will create seven jobs in Edinburgh.
moneycorp enjoys the trust and confidence of some of the world’s biggest companies for their currency transactions and has offices around the world in major locations where businesses need the best available guidance and service.
moneycorp is expanding rapidly in an increasingly global market as entrepreneurial businesses of all sizes make ever increasing international payments and transfers. In 2018 the company’s volume of foreign exchange trading surpassed the previous year by £2.3 billion.
Businesses increasingly recognise that volatility in currency markets mean that not taking advantage of specialist guidance can result in avoidable losses.
Now, businesses in Scotland can explore ways to manage transactional activity as efficiently as possible by emailing email@example.com or calling 0131 322 6558 at the new moneycorp office.
