Walk among hummingbirds in Costa Rica

Costa Rica is located between two oceans and two continents and has an array of unique habitats and ecosystems that support a wide range of species. In fact, Costa Rica’s national parks make up 12% of the land. San Jose is a particularly good choice for those looking to relocate closer to nature; it has all the benefits and amenities you get with living in a city, but it also has close access to La Paz Waterfall Gardens Nature Park. This national park is home to twenty-four species of hummingbird as well as the poison dart frog and thirty different species of snake.

Spot bears in Alaska

Alaska is often seen as untamed world of vast landscapes, the northern frontier of the U.S. But Anchorage is Alaska’s capital city and is an attractive location for nature lovers as it experiences all seasons and has an array of activities all year round for nature lovers. At the Arctic Valley Si Area, you can go berry picking in the autumn and ski in the winter months. In this area of Alaska, it is not uncommon to see moose, lynx, bears, eagles and porcupines.

Wash elephants in Thailand

Chiang Mai is in northern Thailand and has a rich history. It offers residents and visitors a mountainside setting and an average temperature of around 25°C in the cool season. Life is modestly priced in the area, but most importantly, you can volunteer in the nearby Elephant Nature Park. Here you can bathe and feed elephants who have been rescued and rehabilitated.

Swim with sharks in Australia

Cairns, Australia could be described as the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and there are tours to suit everyone. On any one of the many tours offered, you can see clown fish, sharks, jellyfish, and stunningly beautiful coral that goes on for miles. But the nature in Cairns doesn’t stop there; in nearby Daintree Rainforest you will find 65% of Australia’s bat and butterfly species as well as the elusive salt water crocodile.
