Why should I choose moneycorp instead of my bank?
UK high-street banks are still the first port of call for many who wish to make international payments or buy travel money. However, they can charge very high fees, with some banks requesting up to £40 per international payment.
We’ve been operating for over 40 years and working to provide competitive rates and lower fees to our customers, as well as providing a specialist and personal touch that many banks are unable to offer.

An account opening process takes just a few minutes.
How long does it take to send and receive money?
Online money transfers will typically take 2-3 working days.
Will I need any ID?
In most cases no, as your information will be verified automatically during the account opening process.
However, sometimes this verification comes back inconclusively, in which case we will require a proof of address and a proof of identity document. Full list of the documents we accept can be found in the ‘Signing up’ section.
What payment methods can I use?
We can accept payment by debit card via our online platform or a wire transfer from your bank to us. Alternatively, you can visit your local bank branch to make a transfer. You can also use your online banking, your mobile banking app, or telephone banking if you have this set-up.
If any of these payment methods are not suited to you, we are also able to accept cheques. However, please note that this is liable to lead to a delay in your transfer, as the funds may take longer to clear before we can proceed.
Please note, that for security reasons, we are unable to take payments by card over the telephone.
Is there a minimum/maximum amount I can transfer?
The minimum amount you can transfer online is £50, or the equivalent in whichever currency you’re converting.
The maximum amount you’re able to send with us online is £100,000, or the equivalent in whichever currency you’re transacting. If you have a purchase larger than this, please call us on 0207 589 3000 and our dedicated team will help you to facilitate the trade.
