Our Board of Directors

The Board of Directors brings together a range of senior management skills and experience from a number of industry sectors. The remit of the Board is to develop and deliver business strategy, whilst retaining our core focus of delivering the best service to all of our customers, all of the time.

Mark Horgan
Chief Executive Officer

Mark joined the company in January 2012 as Chief Executive. He has over 24 years experience in consumer facing businesses. Most recently, Mark was Managing Director of the team that successfully doubled the size of the Travelex Pre-paid Cards Division before completing a landmark sale of the Division to MasterCard in 2011. Prior to Travelex, Mark held a number of roles including European CEO of The Number UK Limited, Executive Director of MFI Group and various marketing posts in the UK and Europe with Mars, Nestle and United Biscuits.

Noel Medici
Chief Financial Officer

Noel joined the company in April 2007 and was appointed to the Board as Chief Operating Officer in August of the same year. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer in January 2011. He brings an extensive amount of operational and business management experience, having worked for a range of financial services businesses over the last 20 years – after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. Following ten years with NatWest, including four years working in Paris, Noel’s more recent roles include Deputy Chief Executive of Old Mutual (now Arbuthnot) Securities and Chief Operating Officer of IAF Securities. Noel has responsibility for all aspects of the Group’s operational delivery, to ensure that it meets the demanding targets that have been set for the future.

Robert Birchall
Finance Director

Robert joined the company in March 2010. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse and brings over 20 years’ financial services experience to Moneycorp. His previous appointments include Finance Director of the London operations of FIMAT and Chief Financial Officer for the European and Asian operations of Cantor Fitzgerald. More recently, Robert was the EMEA Operations Director for the services division of the telecommunications company Avaya and he provided change management consultancy services to a number of financial services organisations.

John Kent
Non-executive Director

John joined the Board as a Non-executive Director in January 2005. He has had several senior roles in the corporate sector. His last post was Director, Group Strategy for Old Mutual plc and before that, Head of Corporate Finance for the Energy Group plc. John has a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and an MA in Classics from Bristol University.

Paul Lever
Non-executive Director

Paul was appointed as an Adviser to the Board with effect from January 2005 and then became a Non-executive Director from February 2006. Paul has had extensive experience as a PLC Chief Executive and Chairman. Previously, he chaired two public authorities, the National Criminal Intelligence Service and the National Crime Squad. He currently holds a number of Directorships and Chairmanships in the private sector. Paul has a degree in Mathematics and a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard.
